1. Check Your Brakes

Exposure to cold weather over the winter can damage brakes. Before you head out on your first springtime journey, check your brake pads and rotors. Look for signs of rust on the brakes and refill the fluid if necessary.

2. Check Your Tires

Whether you’re switching back to your summer tires or using the same set all year round, be sure to check for excessive tread wear before you set off on a long journey. If your tires are unevenly worn, you may need to rotate them. Eventually, all tires will need replacing as the tread wears away. Don’t forget to carry a spare with you in case of punctures.

3. Pack an Emergency Kit

Now spring is here, you may be glad of the opportunity to cast off your winter clothes and change into lighter attire. However, nighttime temperatures can still dip quite low.
